After I dropped the car off at the upholstery shop, I was riding back home with me dad and, seeing as he was pretty bummed as well, told him that, if I knew a thing or two about my car, the seat was actually far less damaged than originally thought and they'd be able to fully save it and complete the job in just a couple hours.

Later today, we got a call from the shop telling us that the seat was far less damaged than originally thought, they'd be able to save the reclining mechanism and the job would take just a couple hours, so we could go pick up the car tomorrow morning.

Guess I know a thing or two about my car after all.

He literally couldn't believe when the shop owner used almost the exact same words I did, haha...

Yep, now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for a work well done. The shop was recommended to me by the body shop who took care of the car after my little accident, and they've been in business since 1978, so I figure they might as well know what they're talking about.
